De Cymbalista Synagoge & Joods Erfgoed Centrum is een cultureel centrum en de hoofdsynagoge van de Universiteit van Tel Aviv. Het is ontworpen door de Zwitserse architect Mario Botta en gebouwd in 1997 en 1998. Het gebouw is vernoemd naar Norbert en Paulette Cymbalista. Het gebouw heeft 2 opmerkelijke torens die vierkant zijn aan de basis en bovenin rond uitlopen. In beide torens is een vierkante 'choepa' aangebracht waardoor indirect natuurlijk licht van buiten langs de wanden naar beneden valt. Dit is een verwijzing naar de traditionele Joodse huwelijksceremonie, waarin de choepa een belangrijke rol speelt. The Cymbalista Synagogue and Jewish Heritage Center is a cultural center and the main synagogue of Tel Aviv University. It was designed by the Swiss architect Mario Botta and build in 1997 and 1998. The building is named after Paulette and Norbert Cymbalista. The two towers are rectangular at the base and merging to circles at the top. In both towers is installed a square "canopy" which drapes indirect natural light onto the walls of the towers. These canopies resemble the traditional Jewish wedding canopy, the chuppah.
