Temple near Singapore's China Town stock photo
Singapore is the only city in the world where you can find a Chinese temple next to a Hindu temple and a mosk. Not a lot of space, you see. They are practicing safe religion since independence and preach unity and harmony between the cultures. Recently all personal possession of appartments has been forbidden. This way the authorities prevent individual cultural ghettos to form. There is a Chinatown and a little India (I guess mostly for the benefit of the tourists). But when it comes to the highrise appartment complexes the authorities see to it that there is a good mix of nations and cultures in each neighbourhood.
